Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya is a must visit site located 5.5km west to the Kandy City, bordering the Mahaweli River. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees in an area of 147 acres (0.59 km2).
